The 2008 SBE 22 Broadcast and Technology Expo is now history and by all accounts it was another unqualified success. Early estimates indicate our total attendance exceeded last year, approaching 900 guests. Weather for the golf tournament was perfect and participation was up. This is the time of year when the Expo committee under the direction of Chairman Tom McNicoll will assess the pervious year's effort and begin planning for 2009. We are in the process of making application to host the National Meeting at next year's Expo. Help the committee and your Chapter continue the success of the Expo by sharing your thoughts on the previous effort and make suggestions or comments on how it can improve. Your input helps make the Expo strong.
It snowed as I wrote these notes and that means the weather is making a big change and we're on the cusp of the holiday season. That means the annual Membership Appreciation meeting at Coleman's is coming soon. An announcement will be coming out soon with details about this year's event.
The DTV transition program visited several libraries in the City and Onondaga County over the past few months. There is one more scheduled presentation set for January at Liverpool Public Library. If you know of a civic group or organization that would benefit from the SBE 22 DTV presentation contact me or Vinny and we'll try to get it scheduled.
Our next meeting is on the 19th of November, hope to see you there.
